Well Said!

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a shp, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. - Lazarus Long

The minimum system requirements for running The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit are:

Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP or 2003 Server
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 or later

I have a Mac. Can I install The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit?

The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit is not currently available for the Mac. Sorry!

Installation

I get an ActiveX error when I try to install The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit. Why?

You may have your Internet Explorer security settings set on high, which prevents ActiveX controls from running. Or, you may be using a Windows 2000 or XP computer where you don't have the administrator privileges required to run the ActiveX control which installs the toolbar.

To ensure that your Internet security settings allow ActiveX controls to run, perform the following steps:

Go to Tools > Internet Options.

Click on the Security tab.

Click on the Internet icon in the window.

Change your security setting to Medium:

If you see a sliding bar, move it to Medium.

If you see custom setting information, click on the Default Level button and then move the slider to Medium.

If you see that your security setting is already Medium, skip to the last step below.

Click OK.

Try to install The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit again.

To ensure that you have administrator privileges on a Windows 2000 or XP computer, go to Control Panel and open Users and Passwords (on Windows 2000) or User Accounts (on Windows XP). Check that your account is listed as an administrator or is a member of the Administrators group.

Why is it asking if I want to install and run The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit?

Your security settings are set so that you are prompted before any programs are installed on your machine. The dialog box you see is asking you to confirm that you do want to install The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit. Click "yes" to proceed.

Hey, where is it? I installed The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit, but I don't see it.

If you do not see The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit, go to View > Toolbars and click on The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit option.

Be advised that some earlier versions of IE 5.0 have a known problem with displaying toolbars. The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit may be listed under the name "Radio" (usually the second such listing if there are two). This may also keep The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit from initially appearing when it's first installed. Go to View > Toolbars and click on the second "radio" option.

How do I uninstall The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit?

Uninstalling The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit is just as quick and easy as the installation. To uninstall the toolbar:

Click the Windows start button and select Settings.

Open the Control Panel folder and double-click the Add/Remove Programs entry.

Scroll through the list of programs and highlight "The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit".

Click the Add/Remove button

If you're not happy with The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit, we'd like to learn why. Please take a moment to provide us with your feedback at: feeback@mylawtips.com. Your feedback will help us improve the toolbar for everyone's benefit. Please help out.

How can I learn when a new version is available?

The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit automatically updates itself when a new version is available. If you learn that there's a new version out and you've just got to have it, you can reinstall the toolbar to make sure you're driving the latest model. (You may need to uninstall first, though this shouldn't normally be necessary.)

I've tried and I've tried, but it just won't install. Is it me?

If The ESQlawtech Weekly Lawyer Toolkit doesn't install for you, and you've verified that it's not because of any of the problems listed above in the Installation section of this FAQ, then try our alternate installation method. If this also fails, please contact us with your tale of woe and we'll try to figure out if it's because of an undocumented bug. And relax, it's not you.
